Cowshed was one of the first brands to specialise in the use of plants and their oils, proteins, essential fatty acids and vitamins.

100% natural, premium quality essential oils

Organic, wild-crafted and fair trade botanicals are sourced from around the world. Every product contains a high ratio of essential oils; their therapeutic benefits enhance mind and body wellbeing.

Minimal use of preservatives and cosmetic materials

The products are plant-based and contain naturally-derived ingredients, free from:

• Parabens (preservatives)
• Petrochemicals (petroleum by-products)
• Sulphates (foaming agents)
• Artificial fragrances and colours

Suitable for vegetarians

There are no animal ingredients, except organic beeswax and wildflower honey. Cowshed has never and will never test on animals.

Made from sustainable sources

Every effort has been made to source ingredients ethically. For example, sourcing the organic palm oil in the soaps does not result in deforestation, and the sandalwood in our Lazy Cow collection is sourced from government monitored plantations in Indonesia.

A herbal infusion in every product has been sourced from the walled garden at Babington House, the location of the original Cowshed Spa.
