Our history

When Cowshed launched in 1998, it was one of the first brands to specialise in the use of plants and their oils, proteins, essential fatty acids and vitamins. It was initially developed for use in the original Cowshed spa (named after the building's former occupants) and guest rooms at Babington House, Somerset, and is now available in all of the Soho House Group's venues as well as having its own retail shops in Soho and Chiswick.

The product range

Cowshed is evolving its entire range to meet consumer demand for stylish, natural products for the bath and home. The new Lifestyle range launched September 2008 and includes the Collections, Hair Care, Hand Care and Bullocks For Men. We've improved the packaging, doubled the number of products, re-formulated to include more organic ingredients and higher ratios of essential oils, and removed all parabens, petrochemicals, sulphates, artificial fragrances and colours.

The new Spa range, which will include premium organic spa products and skincare, is due to launch in November 2008. The new Mother & Baby range will be unveiled in January 2009.

Cowshed locations

Whether you visit one of the private members' clubs, spas, shops or hotels, Cowshed is a place for a pampered, indulgent, relaxing and rejuvenating experience.

Cowshed spas

The first stand-alone Cowshed spa, Cowshed Clarendon Cross, Holland Park, opened its doors in 2005. Offering a full range of Cowshed treatments - including Cowgroom top-to-toe packages - the West London spa also features a buzzing café and shop.

Cowshed Carnaby, Soho opened in 2007. It features three manicure / pedicure stations and offers a small range of Cowshed treatments, including Scalp Massage and Toe Wax. Light snacks and refreshments are available, and the shop is stocked with the full range of Cowshed goodies.

Private members' clubs with a Cowshed spa(all part of the Soho House Group)

Babington House, Somerset, a hotel and private members' club. The spa is for the exclusive use of members and hotel guests.

Soho House New York, a hotel and private members' club. The spa is for the exclusive use of members and hotel guests.

Shoreditch House, East London, a private members' club which opened in 2007. The spa is for the exclusive use of members.

Hotels

The Scotsman Hotel, Edinburgh. The hotel features its own Cowshed spa offering a full range of treatments including a choice of four Cowshed Packages which include the use of the hotel's stainless steel swimming pool, spa, sauna and steam rooms.

St Moritz Hotel, Cornwall. St Moritz Hotel in Trebetherick boasts its own Cowshed spa, offering six treatment rooms and a wide range of Cowshed treatments.

Airports

Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at Heathrow Airport. The perfect destination for a spot of pre-flight pampering, Cowshed at the Clubhouse is located in Terminal 3.
